1. Organizational Status

EmpowerMED Africa is incorporated in Texas and recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

2. Use of Website

You agree to use this website for lawful purposes only. You may not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems
  • Use content for commercial purposes without permission
  • Disrupt website functionality
  • Submit false or misleading information through any form

3. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including our logo, banner imagery, text, graphics, program materials, and podcast and video content, is the property of EmpowerMED Africa unless otherwise stated. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

4. Donations

  • All donations are voluntary.
  • Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. A receipt will be issued for each donation. Please consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility.
  • Donations are used to advance the charitable purposes of EmpowerMED Africa as directed by its Board of Directors. Where a donor designates a gift for a specific program, we will make every effort to honor that designation, and the Board may redirect the gift to a related purpose if the program changes or is fully funded.
  • Recurring donations may be cancelled at any time by contacting us or through the payment provider.
  • We reserve the right to decline any donation. Refund requests for donations made in error should be sent to contact@empowermedafrica.org and will be reviewed case by case.

5. Online Store

Purchases from the EmpowerMED Africa online store support our mission. The portion of a purchase price equal to the fair market value of the item received is not tax-deductible.

6. Scholarship Applications

Submitting a scholarship application does not guarantee an award. Selection is competitive and made at the sole discretion of EmpowerMED Africa. Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of the information they submit, and false information may result in disqualification or withdrawal of an award.

7. Limitation of Liability

EmpowerMED Africa shall not be liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of this website.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

9. Changes

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
